With over a decade of experience as a career counselor, coach, and strategist, Julia Toothacre provides a diverse perspective on career development.

She spent eight years in higher education in various roles within university career offices, helping freshmen, MBA candidates, doctoral students, and alumni figure out their path.

Her higher education experience connected her to recruiters and hiring managers from various industries looking for talent at all levels. This unique experience gave Julia a broad view of the overall hiring process and the intricacies that come with hiring in various industries and functional areas.

For the past 5 years, Julia has run her own career coaching business and has helped hundreds of clients find clarity around their career path.

Along with being a career coach, Julia is an experienced educator, having created and taught courses at Azusa Pacific University, the University of Southern California (USC), and LinkedIn Learning. The topics she teaches focus on all parts of career development, including career management, career exploration, career advancement, and the job search process.

When she’s not working, Julia enjoys spending time with her husband, young son, and miniature schnauzer.
