Dear Mr. Barrera,

Being named as the employee of the year in 2020 for achieving 100% client satisfaction was the most significant accomplishment of my career as an electrician. I am excited to demonstrate my extensive technical knowledge and passionate work ethic as a Journeyman Electrician at Black and Veatch.

I am a talented tradesperson with three years’ experience acting as a technical specialist. Black and Veatch’s emphasis on providing outstanding customer service through expertise appeals to me. I believe that my recent accomplishments demonstrate that I have the practical knowledge and skills to excel in this role:

  • Successfully diagnosing and resolving a complex electrical problem that had been causing ongoing issues within 5 hours
  • Training two new recruits to increase their understanding of circuit management in commercial new builds
  • Receiving a letter of thanks from a client for completing work to a high standard and 32% under budget

I hope to arrange an interview to discuss how my strong teamwork ability and attention to detail can help Black and Veatch’s clients in 2020. Please don’t hesitate to contact me with a suitable time.

Sincerely,
Abigail Cohen

P.S. I would like to tell you how my work secured a client nomination for a Best Electrician Award for my company in 2020.

Dear Ms. Doe,

I have overseen hundreds of commercial and residential electrical jobs in my current position, both through hands-on work and supervising the journeyman electricians reporting to me. While I am proud of our satisfied customers, I am even more proud that no injuries have occurred on my watch.

I am nearing the decade mark of my career as an electrician. At this point, I am feeling drawn to and inspired by ABC Electrical Works because of your company’s work on challenging projects and reputation for reliability. These past accomplishments demonstrate how I may be able to help ABC Electrical Works continue to build its sterling reputation:

  • Reviewed and updated my current company’s safety procedures, then trained subordinate electricians on new policies
  • Implemented new scheduling and planning practices that cut the average job’s completion time by 20%
  • Successfully completed both single-family-home residential jobs and large-scale commercial projects

I would love to meet with you to discuss what I can bring to ABC Electrical Works. Please let me know when you have a convenient window to talk.

Kind regards,
John Sparks, ME

P.S. I’d love to explain why I became my current company’s go-to electrician for commercial kitchen work!

Dear Mr. McCloud,

Last year, I was able to save Freedom Electronics over 17% in labor costs by introducing a streamlined shift system that reduced overall work hours and increased productivity.

I have over 17 years of experience as an installation electrician, and I can install and repair a wide range of appliances in commercial and residential properties. I understand that Home Helper Electrics is planning to expand into the commercial sector, and I believe that my years of experience in commercial electronics make me an asset to your team.

Some of the highlights of my career include:

  • Project managing the installation of all electrics in a 10-story commercial building
  • Assisting in the design of new tools to make the electrics team more efficient during complex projects
  • Winning employee of the year three times in a row due to my professional contributions to Freedom Electronics.

I’d love to discuss some of the more intricate projects that I have worked on in my career and how I can help your company move forward. Please feel free to contact me with a date that suits your schedule.

Kind regards,
Jonathan Taylor

P.S. I would love to tell you about the work system I designed that reduced labor costs by 8% on standard installs.
